Lizzie’s Medical Bills

My roommate Lizzie was recently diagnosed with aHUS (Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.) If you aren’t sure what this rare condition is then I encourage you to do some reasearch. I wanted to start this fundraiser to help Lizzie with medical expensises and to build awareness. She is one of the healthiest people I know and this came out of nowhere causing many health complications for her. She was in the hospital for about two weeks. Most of the time she was in the hospital she was in the ICU. This isn’t quite over for her. She will be getting infusions for the next 6 months and she will be on a few different meds for at least a year. This is something she will have for the rest of her life and something could trigger her to get really sick again in the future.  Lizzie is a nurse who is always there to help not only her patients but her friends and family as well. She has a big heart and is one of the strongest people I know. Money will be tight for awhile since she has been out of work and will be out of work for a few more weeks. Money is the last thing she should be stressing about right now.   Lets give back to Lizzie and help her with her medical expenses. Every penny counts!
