CKD Awareness (Transplant Funding)

Well my story starts along time ago. But we are going to fast forward to May of 2017 when everything started hitting me at once. One day I woke up for work. It was a Saturday. And my throat felt funny. I thought not much of it, but my uvula was swollen. So I got a little scared. So I went to the hospital and come to find out that I had an allergic reaction to medications I was taken. The doctor said if I waited 20 more minutes my throat would of closed completely. I was in the hospital for a week. A week later I was back in the hospital. My whole lower swole up on me. At this point i was informed about my Chronic Kidney Disease and how bad it was.  Almost a week after that, I found out that I needed to start dialysis. So the next day i had surgery to put a catheter in my chest. I was at dialysis for about a week and then the complications I was having with my eyes  got worse. I lost ALL vision. I was in a depressed state. Everything was happening to me at ONCE. So after many surgeries I was able to regain vision in my right eye. I am now working on getting but on the transplant list for a Kidney. I am having a fund raiser September 15th. It will be a Fish Fry and Charity Ride at Edmunds Park, to help with the cost of Medical bills, transportation, etc ... associated with the kidney transplant and eye surgery. I want to bring awareness to Diabetes, CKD, Hypertension and just overall Health. A lot of Times being go through situations like this and feel stuck. And I want to be a Beacon of light to show that if you stay strong and just believe in yourself, you can over any obstacle. And PRAY. BUT, PRAYER WITHOUT WORK MEANS NOTHING. So I hope to raise as much as possible to me and maybe other in the future that deal with these diseases. "This is for those who can't come out and support the Fish Fry and Charity Ride in person".
