Friends and family coming together to support Charlie in his battle against Thymic Carcinoma and raise a little money to help pay off loss wages and medical bills. We appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers and support.
On June 6th 2007 doctors discovered I had a mass in my chest, after bloodwork, scans and a failed biopsy I had open chest surgery to remove the tumor.
Thymic Carcinoma is the type of Cancer I was diagnosed with.
I had radiation therapy, and chemotherapy once I recovered from the surgery in the hopes of killing all the cancer.
Since then the cancer returned in my neck (Nov. 2009), and I again underwent radiation therapy and chemo therapy to fight the cancer.
Unfortunately in January 2012 a cancerous nodule was discovered in my left lung. After continuous observation via CT Scans our course of action that time was surgery to remove the nodule in October of 2012.
In April 2013, new nodules were discovered in my left lung and pleural lining. More CT Scans and a PET Scan followed which showed more activity spreading through out my lymph node system in the chest cavity.
I have since started chemotherapy treatment which began in November 2013 and has continued every 3 weeks up until now.
We pray this is the end of the chemotherapy and the Cancer has been beaten once and for all!
