Love for Myla

I am doing this for my best friend Koren. She is one of the most amazing people I know. To see her go through this just breaks my heart. On Friday 8-1-14 at 5:50pm she had her baby girl Myla. She was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Wolf Hirschhorn early on. Throughout the whole pregnancy Koren has had such a positive attitude about it all. Which says a lot about her as a mom. Myla is currently fighting for her life, but she has so many people praying for her. She's relying primarily on machines right now and is in NIC. They did an echocardiogram that shows she has an asd which is a vessel that only baby's in utero use. It is suppose to shut but didn't. This is contributing to her breathing complications. If it doesn't close that are going to give her medication to try and stimulate it to close. If that doesn't work they are going to have to do surgery. This is playing a factor with her breathing. She is on nitrous oxide and they are trying to decrease the amount of oxygen she's being given very slowly! Her vitals have gone up but she is still relying on machines. Her kidneys, and lungs aren't functioning properly, and her white blood cell count is low. She was born with club feet which will require braces or surgery in the future. She is still fighting for her life and we are believing for a miracle. Anything will help even prayers. She needs all she can get. We love you Myla!
