Holy Comforter Internship

Greetings everyone! My name is Grant Mansfield and I need your help! Currently, I am serving as a Young Priest Inititive Intern at the Church of the Holy Comforter-Episcopal (HoCo) in Richmond, Virginia. The funding for this internship will end this upcoming March; however, the Priest-in-Charge and the parish feel that it would be in the church's best interest if my internship was extended until next August. As their intern, I am responsible for many different tasks including: aiding the Priest-in-Charge in fostering church membership growth, bringing new ideas and programs to the congregation, aiding the congregation in the creation of a forward thinking vision that enables the Church to better express its relevance in today’s global society, aiding in organizing and energizing existing parish ministries, assist in the creation of new outreach ministries, and being mentored by the Priest-in-Charge as I move through the Ordination process.
     I hope that individuals like yourself will be willing to aid in funding this extension of my internship. Not only is this internship a wonderful opportunity for me to gain the vital skills I will need as a future priest, it is also an equally wonderful opportunity for Holy Comforter to gain a new perspective on ministry through the eyes of an individual from the millennial generation and to benifit from my extensive organizational, outreach, and community programming talents.
