City Ministries Orphanages Nigeria

Donation protected
In 2015, I met Peter Fretheim on a flight to Rochester, Minnesota and on getting to know each other, found out he had been a missionary in Nigeria for about 17years. When I went to Nigeria, I visited him with my daughter Faith in Jos. I was shocked by what we saw. The ministry had in its care hundreds of abandoned children. Some of these children were abandoned by their parents because they considered them witches. An example was a boy abandoned in the forest and by the time he was found, many years had passed that he had lost the opportunity to learn a language. Today, he has a nurse taking care of him 24/7. You cannot visit any of the various dormitories where these children live and walk out without tears.

The ministry takes care of these children till they graduate from high school, vocational school or university as the case maybe.

The girls are the most vulnerable. Some of them when released back to their communities are taken advantage of and could become pregnant. They are currently building a vocational school for the girls so they acquire tailoring, bakery or needle work skills that will increase their money earning potentials and survival.

Am running the St Jude’s Marathon Dec 2nd, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee to raise awareness of this great evil being perpetuated against the most vulnerable and to raise funds for the vocational building project.

Please support my efforts by donating towards this worthy cause.

Thank you
