City High Cross Country Teams 2018

Hello! Our boys and girls cross country teams at City High School have a total of 200 athletes, this season.  They are a motivated and special group of student-athletes that care so much about training to be the best runner they can and caring about their teammates and the goals they are aiming to reach.  We feel honored as coaches to work with this group and believe they play a really important role in each other's lives and in the community of City High and Iowa City.

We are excited to provide each and every athlete with an experience that is purposeful,  powerful, enjoyable and equitable and we believe that our purchases should be tied to those intentions. 

Here are the items on our wish list that your funds will help purchase (to be shared equally between boys and girls' programs):

1. Post workout nutrition items
2. Freeze Pops
3. Tent and sides to the tent for weather coverage
4. Timing system or payment for hired timers 
5. Payment for volunteer coaches

We appreciate what you are able to offer and thank you so much for considering a donation to our programs.  


Also, YOU'RE INVITED to run, bike or walk with the team on our "Bait Shop" run from City High toward the Coralville Dam, Saturday August 25th.  All families and community members connected to our runners, are welcome!
