Cirugía ortopédica para Cuatro (artrodesis)

Ayúdanos a pagar la operación de Cuatro, una gatita callejera que lleva sufriendo toda su vida.
Hace un mes, mientras paseábamos a nuestro perro, la vi. Vi su pata retorcida y supe que tenía que ayudarla. Tardé dos semanas más pero lo conseguí, gracias a que tuve ayuda de una gran persona, que buscó una jaula trampa y me ayudó a capturarla.
La historia de esta gatita la he ido conociendo después, tras preguntar a vecinos del callejón donde la capturamos.
Por lo que sé, cuando era apenas una cachorrita apareció en el callejón y los vecinos la alimentaban pero no se dejaba atrapar. Cuando hacía frío, hacía lo que tantos gatitos hacen para entrar en calor: meterse en el motor de los coches.
Uno de esos días, un coche arrancó y la gatita salió huyendo con la pata retorcida. Los vecinos intentaron cogerla pero huía, así que la siguieron alimentando... ¡durante meses! Según nos han dicho, hace alrededor de un año de su accidente.
Tras un par de días en casa, empieza a confiar en mí, y me deja ver bien su pata, que está peor de lo que parecía. Hacemos una primera visita en el veterinario que nos confirma lo que temíamos... la fractura es antigua y que la solución sería amputar. Nos volvemos a casa y quedo en llevarla a la semana siguiente para su cirugía. Ya teníamos pensado su nombre y todo, que sería Tres (por eso de tener solo tres patas, ¡hay que saber reírse de uno mismo!)
En este tiempo me deja curarle la herida, que va mejorando día tras día. Así que llamo de nuevo a la clínica y pido que valore otras opciones, aunque el coste sea mayor. Llega el lunes, y la llevo de nuevo. Tras varias radiografías me confirman que habría una posibilidad, pero que tendría que verla un traumatólogo y valorarlo.
Sin perder tiempo pedimos cita y la llevamos. Nos confirma que se podría realizar una artrodesis: girar su muñeca que está totalmente rota, y fijar la articulación con placas y tornillos... Y entonces decidimos que queríamos que se llamase Cuatro.
Por favor, ayúdanos a cubrir los gastos de cirugía de Cuatro.

Help us cover the surgery for Cuatro, a stray kitten who has been suffering all her life.
A month ago, while we were walking our dog, I saw her. I saw her twisted leg and knew I had to help her. It took me two more weeks but I succeeded, thanks to the help of a great person, who looked for a trap cage and helped me capture her.
The story of this kitten, I have learned it later, after asking neighbors of the alley where we captured her.
As far as I know, when she was just a tiny kitty, she appeared in the alley and the neighbors fed her but wouldn't let anyone catch her. When it was cold, she did what so many kitties do to get warm: get into car engines.
One of those days, a car started and the kitten ran away with a twisted leg. Neighbors tried to catch her but she ran away, so they kept feeding her ... for months! According to what we have been told, about a year ago since her accident.
After a couple of days at home, she begins to trust me, and lets me see her leg, which is worse than it seemed. We make a first visit to the vet who confirms what we feared ... the fracture is old and that the solution would be to amputate. We go home and I arrange to take her the following week for her amputation surgery. We had already thought of its name and everything, which would be Tres (that's of course because she'd have only three legs, you have to know how to laugh at yourself!)
During this time, she lets me clean and heal her wound, which is getting better day after day. So I call the clinic again and ask them to consider other options, even if the cost is higher. Monday comes, and I take her again to the vet. After several x-rays they confirm that there would be a possibility, but that a traumatologist/orthopedic surgeon would have to see it and assess it.
Without wasting time we make an appointment and we take her to the ortho surgeon. He confirmed that an arthrodesis could be performed: turn her wrist, which is totally broken, and fix the joint with plates and screws ... And then we decided that we wanted her to be called Cuatro instead.
Please help us cover Cuatro's surgery expenses.
