Cindy's Cancer Fighting Fund

My sister Cynthia has been my best friend for over 59 years. She is brilliant, beautiful, talented, and a glorious free spirit. Cindy has been a strong support for the local Community of Redlands, volunteering for the community theater and the chamber of commerce even at times when she could barely support herself. She gives with all of her heart and soul.

When I found out she was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer (Cancer of the Uterus) I was devestated. My heart hurt so much and I knew we had a tough road ahead. We have gotten through the surgery, which went very well and she is recovering. However, the treatment is not over. She has Stage 2 cancer, which is survivable. However, she has minimum of seven months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Unfortunately, this will mean she will be unable to work and will need a lot of support, not only from me, but from friends.

Between the out of pocket expenses of up to $4000, costs of medications, paying bills, and loss of income from her work (she is self-employed and does not qualify for disability); she will need financial help until we can find her other sources of financial support, such as Social Security.  Unfortunately, I can not support her 100% financially and am hoping that friends and family can lend some support.
