After working hard their adult lives, building a home and raising their 2 daughters, this was the time Kevin and Cindy dreamed of. In October 2019, they retired to Florida to spend time with each other, have time for friends, family, their faith, and especially, their grandchildren.
It was everything they had hoped for until July of 2020, when Cindy was diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma, Endometrium cancer. So far, Cindy has had an operation and will soon start radiation treatments. Although they had insurance, the insurance has proved to be severely insufficient. This left them with a very large financial burden from the surgery and will only increase with the subsequent radiation treatments.
I have known Cindy and her husband Kevin, for about 20 years. They have always been active in the Pinckney Community, and our local Pinckney St. Mary parish. Kevin, with Cindy's help, has been active in our local Knights of Columbus council. As Grand Knight, I am reaching out to our council and other members of our community to provide assistance to a couple who have given so much. Please consider a donation.
