Jake Griffiths vs. Paraganglioma
Donation protected
Jake is a 14-year-old superstar who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called paraganglioma. He loves soccer, video games, basketball shoes, and hanging out with his friends and younger brothers.
Jake has just undergone surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, to remove the grapefruit-sized tumor in his adrenal gland, and thankfully, the surgery went well. However, the cancer has metastasized to his bones, where it cannot be removed by surgery. There is only ONE expert in paraganglioma in the United States. Therefore, the family must continue to make frequent trips to this expert in Washington, DC for treatment even after his recovery from this surgery. These treatments and accompanying travel expenses are extremely financially burdensome to his parents, Kris and Tim, who will stop at nothing to make sure Jake gets well and can be his usual, extraordinary self again.
Thank you for reading Jake's story. No matter how "little" you think your donation may be, every bit helps Jake and his wonderful family. We hope you can help!
