Chuck Graham

Chuck Graham a father, a husband and a friend to many, was recently diagnosed with a sarcoma cancer that went long undetected. It has now metastasized on his lungs and is in stage 4. Sarcomas are rare and make up only about 1% of cancers. On top of that, there are about 99 sub-types and Chuck’s specific type is one of the most rare. Chuck will begin treatments soon, but the doctors have made it clear that this is to extend life and make him comfortable for as long possible, but this cancer is too progressed to cure. 

Chuck is the main support for his family and he works in the construction industry. He gets paid when he works, no sick days and no vacation days. Each day that he goes for treatments in Boise or trips to the cancer center in Salt Lake City will be days when he has no income. Finances have gotten tight very quickly. The medical expenses not covered by insurance are going to be enormous. On top of that, there are travel expenses that need to be covered to see the doctors at The Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City. 

 Chuck’s lungs will gradually get worse and he will eventually be on oxygen and unable to work at all. The family is trying to quickly prepare. New roles within the family will need to be taken on. 

The Graham family was hit with this news while in the midst of their home in escrow. Please keep them in your prayers as they have a lot on their plate while they try to deal with the combination of packing up a home in escrow, finding a new place to live, homeschooling, and navigating the cancer world. All of this thrown on them at once has made life very challenging .

Chuck is in high-gear and doesn’t plan to go without a fight. If you know Chuck, you would expect nothing less. I know this family would truly appreciate any amount of help through this very difficult time.
