CHS Free Little Library Project

Reading is fundamental...where have you heard that? Well, CHS students and faculty in conjuction with the Interact Club will be designing, building and installing Free Little Libraries throughout Charleston, Illinois and surrounding areas. The cost for one library is $100 and we are looking to build six in total.
Mr. Williams' CAD class will be helping with the design.
Mr. Oakley's Ag class will provide the construction. It is my understanding this will serve as a final exam project for the class. We are hoping to construct 6 FLLs.
Interact will work together to determine placement and raise funds for the effort.
In addition, many of you know that I am serving as the Media Center Specialist and am sponsoring a Holiday Book Drive competition for CHS students. These books will be placed in the Free Little Libraries throughout the communities that are served by C.U.S.D. #1.
Funds will be given to CHS and used for construction materials, installation costs and registration on the national website!!! Extra funds will be used to purchase books for these libraries.
