Christy Leah (my mom) needs help!

Hello friends & family, thank you for taking the time to read this.  3 weeks ago, my mom, Christy Leah, was beaten by her husband.  In addition to other injuries, she has sustained subdural hematoma, a broken hip which required surgery & a broken arm.  We are so grateful to the neighbor who heard her screams and called 911 - we try not think about how much worse it would have been had the police not arrived to put a stop to it.  Yesterday, after 3 weeks of intense medical care, PT & OT, my mom was able to go back to the comfort of her home and her fur babies (2 doggies and 2 kitties) who missed each other so much!  But, she still has A LONG way to go towards recovery.  She is still in a lot of pain, healing & only able to get around via a wheelchair.  While some of her medical bills will be covered due to her being a victim (she does not have medical insurance), there are still more that she needs help with.  Because of her injuries, she is unable to work and will likely be out of work for at least 6 more weeks, depending on her healing.  Her husband is still in jail (thank goodness) & hopefully will be forever.  But this also means that she has no one to help care for her (other than a few good friends - she lives in Florida far from all family), and also no one to help pay her bills.  If you know my mom, you will know that she is an extremely caring, compassionate, generous & helpful person. In fact, her profession is a caregiver for the elderly.  But now she is the one that needs help.  If you are able to contribute in any way, no matter how small, please know that it will be greatly appreciated and put to good use such as bills, groceries, care for her animals, etc.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me personally.
