Support Chris Elliott’s Treatment

Donation protected
My name is Rachael Konway. My brother and best friend is fighting for his life. He’s been battling the disease of addiction since he was a young teen and has fought tooth and nail to get into publicly funded rehabilitation centres. The fact is, our country is lacking in resources for those desperately wanting out of the clutches of addiction. Whether that be narcotics, alcohol or a processing addiction such as gambling. My brother was given a second chance at life. A gift to begin his treatment journey. He has spent 8 weeks at Edgewood rehabilitation centre in Nanaimo, BC doing intensive inpatient treatment. He is working incredibly hard and is desperate to continue, but the funding has reached its limit and he needs to raise $25,000 to complete his treatment. I am willing to do whatever it takes to reach the goal. If you need help around the house, I can do that. If you need a doula for your birth, I can do that too! I am willing to trade any services for a donation to my brother’s treatment and once he is done, he is willing to do the same. Every dollar counts, any donation large or small will drastically change our lives. Thank you for your time, and if you cannot donate, please share this with everyone you can! A bit about Christopher:He is 27 years old, and the friendliest person you will ever meet. He is a role model to many in the program and is making huge efforts to maintain sobriety. He is the best uncle in the world. His two year old niece adores him. He’s an amazing big brother. He is hardworking, helpful around the house and incredibly bright. Despite facing many challenges in life he is still an amazing person, understanding that he cannot do this on his own. He needs your support. A letter from Christopher:Since 14 I’ve been battling the disease of addiction. I am now 27 and have been blessed with the opportunity of coming to Edgewood treatment centre. For 13 years I have been struggling to survive. Now I am fighting to live a life of sobriety. Your support is encouraging and knowing there are so many people who care about me drives me forward in my recovery. I can’t say thank you enough. You can also donate directly to Edgewood treatment centre at 1-800-683-0111 in the name of Christopher Elliott. Any donations no matter the size would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
