Christmas Tragedy in the Ozarks
Donation protected
My sister, Beth Hogue Carty, and her husband, Raymond, lost their home in a fire on December 21, 2020. We are so deeply saddened that we also lost our sister, Becky Hogue. Beth and Raymond have 5 children: Mitzi (11), Elijah (9), Jeremiah (5), Helen (2), and Raelynn (7 months). Beth and Becky were living in the old Hogue farmhouse in the Branson, Missouri area. Both are daughters of Riggle and Elizabeth Tazewell Hogue, both deceased. The Carty family lost everything, but we are grateful that their children escaped the fire that night and have now been released from medical care.
We are also appreciative of the immediate outpouring of love and donations from the people in the town and churches in Galena/Branson. We are so grateful that the local town has come to their aid and has made sure that the children will have Christmas this week. Family and friends outside of the area have also expressed the desire to help the family rebuild their lives and to cover final expenses for Becky. We have set up this GoFundMe as a means for collecting those donations. We are so grateful to all.
