The couple, Charly and Sarah faced the financial crisis when they learned that the cost of their apartment rental increased. It forced them to move out. They thought that everything would be worked out once they could find an affordable apartment within a few weeks. But ultimately, it turned out to be nightmare that they had lived in their suitcase for two years. They have spent time at many hotels, warehouses and friend's houses. This year it even was hard on them because they cannot stay at the friend's house amid COVID-19 and end up spending their fortunate on the hotels which they cannot afford and meet barely ends. They have contacted many housing assistance agencies to apply for the apartments but there were many red tapes that they were frustrated to obtain from the social services agencies and eventually lost the apartment. They had to start over again to process.
Can you imagine what they lived in this kind of circumstance? They got an approval for a senior citizen apartment that they can afford pretty well. It came up that they need the money for a down payment. All their money they spend on the hotel and the food at he cafes, they end up with no extra savings. Unfortunately, while in the process, the landlord sent the letter to them that they must have a security deposit and a rent payment by Friday, December 18th. They were unexpected because they planned to have the money ready by the end of December and would pay for it. If they do not pay, they would lose the apartment!
It is truly heart-breaking to see them suffer and frustrate through this whole ordeal especially at this Christmas time, all they want is a home. The reason I set up a GOFUNDME to help them to move into the apartment and feel safe. All they need is $1000.00 for a secure deposit and rent payment. It is considered more affordable than any other apartments around in North Virginia.
At the season of Christmas, we could give the gift to them that would be incredible above heaven, even though we can have a little to give, you would receive a blessing!
