Help Chanelle, Graham & their kids this Christmas

We are reaching out to the local and broader community to help make Christmas a little brighter for this young family from Hilton, Fremantle who are going through an incredibly hard time at the moment.
This young family (mum Chanelle, dad Graham and two gorgeous children aged 3 and 1) are part way through home renovations to convert their Hilton cottage into a family home. As they have been working within a tight budget, they have project-managed it and done much of the work themselves, at the same time as running a small business.
Part way through these renovations Chanelle received a shock diagnosis of cancer. She is now recovering from major surgery and will have further treatment in the months ahead. They have had to move out of their house to get extra support and the renovations have stalled as they focus on treatment and recovery. Their house is now sitting in an unliveable state, without a functioning kitchen or bathroom.
Being back in their home for Christmas is now not looking possible, but they would desperately like to be able to stay somewhere local to allow them to celebrate Christmas together. Accommodation costs are out of reach at the moment, as Chanelle is unable to work, Graham has had to reduce his work hours significantly, and being self-employed they have no sick leave or carers leave.
This initial fundraising goal will allow the family to relax, recuperate and celebrate Christmas for around 5 nights in some local, family-friendly accommodation, as well as helping with other costs of providing the kids with a joy-filled Christmas. This will give them a much needed break from thinking about treatment ahead and the stalled renovations, and will allow them to be close to extended family and friends so that they can join in on Christmas celebrations as health permits.
We would like to reach this initial goal by Friday, 4 December 2020 to allow the family time to secure some accommodation.
Any funds raised over this initial goal will also be gratefully received to supplement their lost income through this difficult time.
