Christmas Fundraiser for Rural Charities

It's Christmastime, the season of giving, and this year we want to give back to some of incredible charities, social enterprises and community organisations that work hard all-year-round to make rural Britain a better place to live and work.
Therefore, we are running this fundraising campaign to give a little helping hand to seven rural organisations, selected from this year's regional winners of the Rural Business Awards. That means that our judges have found these rural organisations to be among the best of their kind, across the whole of the UK.
The seven organisations who will benefit from the money raised are:
The Pheasant at Neenton
The Pheasant at Neenton is a community-owned social enterprise that’s breathing life back into a dying village in a deprived rural area left without public facilities since the pub closed in 2006. It is now the social and economic hub for the village, and is one of the best dining pubs in the region.
Sol Laug Haven C.I.C
Sol Havens is an eco-sustainable permaculture farm with an education and rejuvenation centre that provides homeless and vulnerable with a safe working environment to learn, grow and blossom to their full potential.
Clynfyw Care Farm
Clynfyw supports vulnerable people on the farm using meaningful land-based and creative projects for engagement, fun, empowerment and learning. They support people with learning disabilites who live semi-independently in converted farm buildings.
Llanwrtyd Wells Community Transport
Llanwrtyd Wells Community Transport offers essential transport services in an isolated rural area. But more than that, they have diversified and now offer recycling and waste services, a community centre and so much more. Offering services like coffee mornings and a credit union on top of transport has helped the local town, villages and surrounding communities remain independent, active and sustainable.
Running Deer CIC
Based on the edge of Dartmoor in their 16-acre woodland, Running Deer operates a special needs school for children with autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Hampstead Norreys Community Shop
Hampstead Norreys Community Shop is run by the community for the community. It is a not-for-profit village shop and cafe, staffed by a mixture of paid staff and volunteers. Opening in 2011, the shop and cafe provide vital services for the village.
Itteringham Community Shop
There has been a shop in the heart of Itteringham Village since 1637. After 380 years of commerce it now trades successfully as a community run business. It does so thanks to the help of staff, local volunteers, supporters and guidance from the Itteringham Community Association.
As you can see, every penny we raise will go to a great cause, and will be hugely appreciated by both us and the above organisations. We hope you will consider making a donation this Christmas, no matter how small.
The money raised will be split equally between the seven beneficiaries, unless you comment with your donation, specifying which organisation(s) you would like your money to go to.
The money is a gift, and the beneficiaries may use it however they wish. However, we hope they will decide to use it to help cover the costs associated with attending our National Final in February, such as transport and accommodation.
To help with this, we will match the total value we manage to raise with discount off our national final tickets. This will be split evenly between the beneficiaries. So if we manage to raise £700, each of the seven businesses involved will receive £100 off of the total cost of any tickets they purchase.This discount is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for its monetary value.
