The backstory: In a little impoverished village in Sri Lanka, there are 10 kids that come from broken homes and families, that need your support to get into college.

 

The problem: These kids have the most heartbreaking stories. They come from homes with abusive families, too poor to feed their kids. Malnourished, unhygienic, and 1 step away from being homeless. The cycle of pain in their community makes them prone to all kinds of abuse that is hard to describe.

 

The solution: These 10 kids, in particular, were able to make it through high school with flying colors in spite of their circumstances. They are extremely talented! Only 2% of Sri Lankan kids get to go to college, and early school is free. If we can support them through these last 2 years they will be able to use their own talents to pull themselves and their families from these circumstances.

 

What the future looks like with your help: We will be following these kids through the next 2 years of their life making sure they don't drop out for any financial reason. If they get through this and get to college, they will get good jobs. I grew up in a village just like theirs, and thanks to a lot of people and my parents I got access to good education and got out. After starting my career I have been slowly bringing my entire village out of poverty. There were people that took a bet on me when I was a kid. Let's be those people for these kids. All it takes is one person to create actions that can change the future.

 

$350 puts one kid through 1 year of higher education. They have 2 years left.

- Fed a village for 3 months during the pandemic
- Built a school for 150 kids
- 2 houses for homeless families. 
- Put one kid through 4 years of college
