Holiday Hospital Stay

Christine is 26 years old and has been married for almost seven years. She has two dogs, is attending Missouri State University for her MBA, and has been battling Ulcerative Colitis for the last three years. Two months ago she had her entire colon removed and is now suffering from complications due to the surgery for the fourth time. She has spent four weeks total at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis so far. The day before Christmas Eve she had an emergency and was rushed to St. Louis in an ambulance for treatment yet again. She and her family will be spending Christmas in the hospital. She has recently lost her job and excited about starting a new one soon, but has a lapse of insurance coverage in the meantime. We all know hospital stays are very expensive even with insurance, so while she is out of insurance Christine and her husband will have to cover all of the rising costs from medical care recieved. Christine's loving husband has stayed by her side in the hospital away from his job throughout all of the complications, which has added to the financial burdens from this very complicated procedure and recovery.

Any and all funds raised will be used to supplement the consistently rising hospital bills, including the 200-mile ambulance ride and her stay in the ICU.
