Christina's Fight with Cancer

October 2016 my ever so sweet daughter got married to Matt a former First Responder (Firefighter and EMT). A few months later she was diagnosed with stage 4 Cervical and Ovarian Cancer, all was spreading. Here a few months later and after 8 surgeries, 2 months of radiation, 2 months Chemo Therapy and 3 Blood Transfusions her Doctor told us she is doing well and she was half way there! (half is a scary amount though she may be facing another year of Chemo) Those that cancer has touch their lives know the hardships on the body, mind and soul.
Being a U.S. Marine Kid she has a lot of fight in her (you can tell by the smile!) Thank the Big Guy upstairs she made it this far. The Doctors and Nurses have told me several times how tough she is. Oh and I forgot to say she's deaf, she thinks having hearing aids in both ears gives her a big advantage in conversations (on/off switch :) but don't let her fool you she's a lip reader since about 5 years old.
Quality of Life
Christina and Matt love to work however as you can imagine work is out of the picture for a while. Matt (best son in law ever) has only 1 kidney and goes to dialysis 3 times a week, then spends the rest of his time caring for my baby girl. Her insurance at work does not cover Chemo and Radiation treatments or Doctor Visits (you can imagine my take on that) however some amazing folks managed to get her a Grant to pay the hospital bills. They are now living on about 600.00 a month disability but remain determined to make it on their own with hopes of getting a home and adopting.
Please help Christina and Matt get through this obstacle in their life a battle many of us will never know. If you can't donate we do accept prayers.
