Christian's Kidney Donation

WE HAVE A MATCH!!!! First, above all… Alexandria, Christian and I want to thank everyone who has contributed and prayed for my husband, Christian and our family on our search – waiting for a kidney donor. Your expressions of love and encouragement during this times cannot be said in words. We will be forever grateful.
Last week we were informed that we have a kidney match. The match for Christian is his long time, close friend - John Hodges. They have been lclose friends for years. John and Christian are basically brothers, through life, church and work! We are blessed that his family is helping and supporting us by John giving one of his kidneys – a gift of life to us. Thank you, John, Julia and family,!!
Our operation is set for December 5th; recovery for Christian will be approximately 6 months. Christian will be in the hospital for 2 weeks and then the road to recovery begins. During this time Christian will/cannot work. Some of the medical expenses are covered; there is no compensation provided for loss of work earnings or other out of pocket expenses travel as well as house payments, groceries, electric bills, etc.
After Christian is released from the hospital, he will have to travel back to UW hospital in Seattle several times a week – more in the beginning and then a few times a week in the months following. We are including our precious daughter in as much as she can understand at 2 1/2 years old but we exercise caution taking her back and forth and in and out of the hospital. We are open to those who want to set up and help with play dates as I take Christian to appointments.
We pray and ask for you to pray too for success for John Hodges and Christian. If you can help us financially, we truly appreciate it. Thank you again to my church family, BNSF family, and immediate family member. Love you and bless you all!
