Christian Volunteer Service Trip

Family and Friends, I have been blessed with an opportunity to travel to Israel and serve the Jewish people as part of a two-week program sponsored by The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry . The Friends of Israel (FOI) is a worldwide Christian ministry that communicates biblical truth about Israel and the Messiah while fostering solidarity with the Jewish people. They are planning a Christian adult volunteer program with the purpose of living out Genesis 12:3 by blessing Jewish people with lovingkindness. The program is called Hesed  . Hesed is a Hebrew word that means "lovingkindness." For two weeks, March 4-22, 2020, I will work alongside Israelis doing manual labor to help serve the people of Israel in practical ways. A leadership team from FOI will oversee our work at Kaplan Medical Center  in Rehovot, Israel. We will also minister to and worship with an Israeli congregation of believers. And, as time allows, we will squeeze in a few biblical sites for on-the-spot instruction from God's Word. I am very aware that I cannot do this alone. I need the Lord and others to see me through. I would consider it a privilege to have you partner with me in sharing God's hesed to His chosen people. I am trusting the Lord to surround me with a team of both prayer and financial partners. Please pray that God will use me to encourage believers, spread the seed of the Word to open hearts, and love people by the power of the Holy Spirit. The cost of the trip is $3,895.00 US (from Newark, NJ) which each team member is responsible to raise in gifts for FOI. Additional costs of the trip include travel arrangements to and from Newark, NJ.
