On August 18, 2020, The Hennessy Fire devastated Jason Haefner and Christa Petrillo Haefner ranch. Everything Christa, Jason and family have spent a life time building was destroyed in a matter of minutes by the devastating wildfire here in Napa county. Now Jason and Christa lively hood, ranch, business, and many animals are left in ashes.
Jason and Christa lost all their horse training equipment such as Saddles, lunge lines, bridles, horse trailers, feed, stalls, barns, etc. Everything they built their life on and lived off of is GONE. Destroyed by a devastating wildfire.
They also lost a mare and foal, goats, chickens and turkeys.
Christa also lost her dog kennels and her whole dog training business and equipment. All her dog crates, kennels, protection dog sleeves, tugs, bite suits, leashes, collars, Schutzhund jumps and equipment, food and supplies were all turned to ash in a matter of minutes. Everything she needs to use for her livelihood is gone. Not to mention the area she used to teach lessons was destroyed by this devastating wildfire.
Her dogs are safe!
In all this sadness and devastating words can not express the sadness I feel for Christa and Jason and their family. Through all the ashes comes the much needed support of friends, family and the community.
