Christ Cantres Cancer Treatment Fund

Donation protected
Three weeks ago Christ was a healthy 20 year old working full time and a National Guard Member.  He was diagnosed with Osteoscarcoma - a rare form of cancer found in children and young adults. Since diagnosis his days have been filled with doctor's appointments at Smilow Cancer Center.   He was let go from his full time job because he wasn't there for 12 months to qualify for FMLA and he was put on emergency leave from the National Guard. He is receiving care at Yale which consists of chemo three days a week for 10 weeks then he will have surgery to remove the tumor in his knee and then have chemo for 19 more weeks.  Since he is receiving a aggressive dose of chemo medication, he will be staying at the hospital during his chemo treatments.

We're starting this Go Fund Me on behalf of Christ and his family to help offset medical bills, getting him to and from Yale for treatment, and the cost for his family while staying with him during these treatments, since he is unable to work at this time.

Anything that you are able to contribute would be much appreciated.

Update 7/31/19 - Christ completed his first week of chemo.  It was a rough week.  He has a long battle ahead of him, but he and his family appreciates all of the kind words, prayers, thoughts and donations collected thus far.  Please continue to keep Christ and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he continues this fight.

We are planning to withdraw the funds received thus far and give them to Christ and his family to begin paying bills for care, etc.

We will send updates to the page.  THANK YOU AGAIN!
