My brother Chris was diagnosed with ALS (www.als.ca)
on August 22, 2017. Once diagnosed with ALS Chris was told the average lifespan is 2-5 years. As you can imagine, this news has devastated our family and friends.
Chris's ALS has been progressing rapidly and currently he is having difficulty walking, grasping with his right hand and it is slowly moving into his left arm/hand. He is currently in need of a walker for assistance in moving around.
Due to the severity of this disease, Chris and Tawnia's house will need to be modified in order to make it easier for Chris to stay there as long as possible.
Chris would like a chance to visit his family in Germany to say goodbye. They would also like to take their beautiful 3 daughters on one last family trip to make lasting memories. As you can imagine, time is of the essance right now. He has to check these bucket list items off as soon as possible.
Chris is such a wonderful father, son, brother and friend. Our hearts are broken and we are determined to make the time he is with us enjoyable, memorable, and as stress free for the family as possible.
