Chrisler Family Fire Help

My name is Megan and I’m creating this fund to help my sister in laws family who tragically lost everything just before Christmas.

In the evening hours of Wednesday 12/15, the Chrisler family was impacted by the storms ravaging their way through the Midwest. With winds blowing at 100mph, power lines were knocked down and sparked prairie fires that spread unbelievably quickly through Russell county, Kansas that burned about 100,000 acres. The Chrisler’s family home was lost to these fires and they lost everything. Thankfully, Melissa and Tony made it out safely, but everything else was lost; the house, 90% of the livestock, pets, cars, equipment and all of their personal possessions included. I cannot even begin to put into words how this has impacted this family. Having had the pleasure of spending time on the ranch myself and seeing photos of my nephew lighting up when he gets to ride around with his grandma and grandpa to see the cows and help with farm chores, devastates me more than I can put into words.

As ranchers, this fire not only took their home, but their livelihood too. This fundraiser is a means to help in anyway we can as this kind, hardworking family has been left with nothing and I hope this can be at least a start to help them get back on their feet. Any help is greatly appreciated as they will be not only needing a home but also means to rebuild the ranch and their livelihood.
