Richard Forrest Lane II was born on December 23, 1970. He passed suddenly on February 21, 2017 from complications associated with a dissected aorta.
We knew him as Chris...and we loved him very much. He will be missed by so many.
Chris was a brother, an uncle, a son, and a friend. He was known as a jokester with a huge personality, dwarfed only by the size of his giving heart. He loved his family, his friends, his music, and Disc Golf.
There will be a celebration of life memorial service held Sunday, March 5, at the Lake Pointe Hall at Colonel Francis Beatty Park in Matthews, NC. We will be accepting friends and family from 3-5pm and will have a short memorial at 4:00.
His family wants to establish a tribute and a memorial to share some of those things he loved with everyone else. Funds raised here will go towards completing the Waxhaw Elementary Disc Golf Course tucked in behind Waxhaw Elementary School. He would have loved knowing that he is able to help so many children enjoy something he so loved.
