Chris William's Cancer Fund

In early October, Chris was diagnosed with Stage Four Renal Cell Carcinoma: cancer of the kidneys. It is extremely rare for a 39-year to be diagnosed with this aggressive type of cancer at this advanced stage. After many tests, Chris partnered with an oncologist to pursue four rounds of recommended Immunotherapy to attack his particular type of cancer.

Battling cancer has waged war on Chris’s body: multiple hospital stays, ongoing pain management, and a continual health battle as his body struggles with all that is coming at him at once.  Every step along the way, Chris has been a fighter – just like he’s always been.

After completing his fourth and final round of Immunotherapy, his PET scan revealed devastating news: the cancer had now metastasized to the lungs and other organs in his body.  This has unfortunately ushered in a new state of declined health and an even bigger battle to fight.

After seeking out new medical advice, oncologists all agree that a specific form of aggressive chemotherapy is needed to attack his cancer.  Chris has chosen to follow this treatment plan while also supporting his body in-between chemotherapy infusions at the Healing Arts Integrated Cancer and Wellness Center in Dallas.  This center helps to support and nourish the body, while partnering with oncologist, through a holistic approach that uses nutrition and therapies from around the world to help him regain health and fully heal.

We are all very hopeful in this new plan and continue to believe in full healing.  While insurance covers some of his medical expenses, there are still significant costs not covered. And insurance does not cover any of the non-traditional treatments Chris will receive to support his body in between chemo treatments. Further, Chris has been unable to work since October while his medical costs keep climbing. Chris has a long fight in front of him and, with hope in mind, we want to help him cover the costs of these treatments and future medical expenses.

God reminds us every day that we are not alone in our struggle and that we are not meant to bear our burdens in isolation. If you are able to help financially, there is definitely a need. You can also help by sharing this page to spread the word and enable an army of people to pray for Chris and his family.

We believe in a God who heals us and fights for us.  We hope that you will stand with us in prayer as we cover him daily.  Thank you in advance for all of your love and prayers and support.  We are incredibly thankful for the community that is hovering around him during this time.

Much love and HOPE,
Lindsay Henson (Chris's sister)
