Chris Sands is a Bus operator at Santa Cruz Metro Transit District. On October 7, 2020 he suffered a Basilar Arterial stroke and was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in San Jose . Since then, he has been in the ICU for a total of 24 days. His wife Windy Sands, and his three Children Joaquin, Jada,  and Forest, along with any other family and friends, have not been able to visit due to the Covid regulations.
His wife writes "We know he is strong and he will recover. It is the beginning of a new journey. Chris is my best friend , my hero and a hardworking provider . He is a loving father to his three children. He is known for being athletic and practices a life long healthy active lifestyle, so this stroke was sudden and unexpected. We are devastated by this catastrophic and sudden emergency. Thank you for your support and prayers -- Windy Sands"
Chris and his family are going to need some extra support with the medical bills, the loss of time from work , an any other expenses this devastating event has caused. If you can help in any way  please consider it as this is such a painful time for him and his family.  As his co-worker and friend I thank you for any and all donations and prayers, so does his beautiful family.
Thank you .
