My family is raising money for my dad Chris Larsen. He had a quadruple bypass a few days after New Years Day. While in the hospital he was put on Heparin which is a blood thinner. At the time it wasn't known that he was allergic to it. He started to show different symptoms including blood clots and swollen legs and feet. My dad was kept on it and continued to have pain in his legs. He suffered irreversible damage to his right leg and left foot due to gangrene. He's currently at Whittier Rehab Hospital awaiting surgery to amputate half of his right leg and possibly all the toes on his left foot.
Chris is a well known guy that greets everyone with a smile at Larsen's Shoe Store. He is a Vietnam veteran and has lived a life of service to the country and the community. He has been a stubborn Fin his entire life and never asks anyone for anything, but now he knows he is in a battle in which he needs help.
We are raising money to assist with unforeseen expenses such as home renovations, medical bills, rehabilitation, and equipment he may need to make this life altering experience a little easier.
We truly appreciate any donation to help our father on his way to a new life.
Regards,
Family of Chris Larsen
