And then there were six

My sweet husband, father to our five children,  has been newly diagnosed with esophageal cancer. His is classified as an invasive adenocarcinoma, poorly differentiated with signet ring cell features.  We are currently awaiting more diagnostic testing for further information regarding staging. The conventional treatment for for this type of cancer is incredibly invasive and ultimately life changing. Chemotherapy and intensive radiation would be followed by surgery that would remove a portion of his stomach, most of his esophagus and reattach the two to leave his stomach in his chest where it would reside for the rest of his life. We are leaving all of our options open, however, we choose to use natural medicine within the duration of the wait and maybe even as an alternative therapy or at least an integrative therapy in conjunction with conventional medicine.  Our hope is that we can shrink the tumors enough that chemotherapy and radiation will not be necessary. And how amazing would it be if we could avoid surgery all together??!!  We fully believe in the power of the body to heal with the help of natural therapies. These therapies, of course, are not covered by insurance.  Chris is the most amazing husband and father of 4 little girls and one big brother. He is our treasure.  He is the sole provider for his family of 7 and your help will allow us to explore alternative health promoting therapies instead of having to resort to therapies that kill and destroy even the good cells that he has left around the malignancy.
