Chris and Michelle's dream festival wedding.

Donation protected
I am fundraising for a sum of money to provide a dream festival wedding for my son Chris and his bride to be, Michelle. Let me explain why I am doing this and why I cannot pay for it myself.

On the 31st January, Chris suffered a massive stroke. He spent six months in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities and is still undergoing intensive physio and working on his recovery. He is out of the wheelchair and walking with the aid of a stick. His left arm is still not functioning, although it is showing signs of waking up. His speech and language is getting much better, and he has pretty much had to re-learn all his vocabulary.

From the moment he had the stroke, neither Chris or Michelle could work and so went onto a sick pay and benefits income, some elements of which took a very long time to arrive. So I had to step up and help them out financially, as did my dear old dad, a pensioner himself. I was travelling to Brighton every day at first and not out earning money, my choice I know, but my family needed me and I put them first. In doing this I ran through all my savings and am now struggling a bit myself, with not much extra for weddings. Chris is still not able to return to work and Michelle is now caring for Chris as well as their son Harley.
Much of the wedding will be done by ourselves, food, decorations and so on. Music and entertainment has been volunteered by friends. My sister is going to get them the wedding cake, another friend is making them the wedding rings. What I need to spend the money on is a venue. Somewhere with a bit of woodland where they can hold the ceremony. Then with a barn or marquee for a meal and a party. We will need tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glasses and so on. We would also love a camping field so all the guests can spend the weekend celebrating with Chris and Michelle. There are lots of lovely venues, such as farms that offer weekend wedding packages and the fees are between £8,000 and £10,000.

Above all I would like their wedding to be somewhere safe, connected to the Earth and suit their own wishes. They would love a festival style wedding as they met at a festival. And I would love for these two beautiful people to have a day or two of happiness after the dreadful time they have suffered through. Please help if you wish to and all your donations will be so gratefully received.
