Chorley Hedgehog Rescue takes in sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs throughout the year. The whole operation is run from the home of the founder Janette Jones, who dedicates her life to caring for these shy creatures.
Funds are desperately needed for the ongoing care of 150+ animals until they are well enough to be released back into the wild. The money is needed for food, medication, vets bills, towels & balnkets, new hutches and improved facilites.
Hedgehogs are now an endangered species, with a decline of 30% in Britain's native hedgehog population since the mid 1990's, it is estimated that they may become extinct within 50 years! Janette and her small team of volunteers are trying hard to save as many as they can from across the North West.
Every penny helps. Please help me by giving as much or as little as possible towards the care for our hedgehogs. We need to ensure their survival for future generations.
