TRAGIC FAMILY ACCIDENT ON HIGHWAY 85
On the night of February 10th, 2018 around 7pm my brother Fernando Arroyo, wife Teresa Zavala, and two of their children were driving North on US 85 Bypass when a red Honda Civic driving in the wrong direction hit my brother's Honda Pilot. This resulted in a fatal head-on car collision . My brother Fernando, his wife Teresa, and their two kids were taken to Northern Colorado Medical Center. My brother Fernando and his wife Teresa had severe injuries where surgery was required. My brother had to get a pelvis surgery, a right leg surgery to reconstruct his knee , he had a nose fracture, 3 broken ribs, chest fractures, and multiple stitches throughout his body. His wife had to receive facial plastic surgery, she also had a fractured nose, and stitches throughout the body as well. Their two boys required some medical attention but were released a couple days after the accident. It has came to our attention that the Honda Civic driver was driving uninsured and has left our family with medical bills and a husband that will be out of work for many months due to recovery/therapy.

UN ACCIDENTE FAMILIAR TRÁGICO EN LA CARRETERA 85
En la noche del 10 de Febrero del 2018 a las 7 p.m., mi hermano Fernando Arroyo, su esposa Teresa Zavala y dos de sus hijos conducían hacia el norte por la carretera US 85 cuando un Honda Civic rojo que conducía en la dirección contraria golpeó al Honda Pilot de mi hermano. Esto resultó en una colisión frontal fatal. Mi hermano Fernando, su esposa Teresa y sus dos hijos fueron llevados al Centro Médico del Norte de Colorado. Mi hermano Fernando y su esposa Teresa sufrieron lesiones graves que requirieron varias cirugías. Mi hermano tuvo que someterse a una cirugía de pelvis, una cirugía de pierna derecha para reconstruir su rodilla, tuvo una fractura de nariz, 3 costillas rotas, fracturas de tórax y múltiples puntadas en todo el cuerpo. Su esposa tuvo que someterse a una cirugía plástica facial, también tenía la nariz fracturada y puntadas en todo el cuerpo. Sus dos hijos necesitaron atención médica pero fueron dados de alta un par de días después del accidente. Nos ha llamado la atención que el conductor de Honda Civic conducía sin seguro de auto y esto ha dejado a nuestra familia con facturas médicas y un marido que estará sin trabajo durante muchos meses debido a la recuperación / terapia.
