Chloe’s Heart Fund

Donation protected
Hello my name is Chloe, last Christmas Eve I suffered multi organ failure which resulted in my needing emergency surgery after which I was put on ECMO (life support) whilst awaiting a heart transplant  I was placed in an induced coma for 15 days, within this time I was offered 3 hearts that were then refused by the surgeons but the 4th heart was received and successfully transplanted  on the 8th of January. After my 3 month rehab/recovery programme I was allowed to return home & then we had the Covid pandemic which resulted in me having to be shielded and under strict  lockdown restrictions. In April I was diagnosed with Lymphoma (PTLD) after a lump was found in my throat. This required  treatment combining immunotherapy & radiotherapy.I'm approaching the end of my treatment & so far it is looking like it's successful. I was diagnosed at  birth with a very rare condition called Sengers Syndrome which affects my eyes, muscles and heart. This condition is so rare there are only 44 people in the world to have this and I'm  the 33rd.
I'm now focusing on recovering and looking forward to a family holiday and continuing with my interests in cooking & gardening.
I'm also very grateful to the staff at The Freeman Hospital who have worked miracles keeping me alive with my transplant & cancer treatment also to The British Heart Foundation & The Teenage Cancer Trust for their continued support to me & my family.
We are forever grateful to my donor and family for giving me the gift of life.
I am raising funds as I move forward during my recovery to contribute towards my holiday & to  both charities & I also wish to raise organ donation awareness.
