Chinese Australian League Against COVID-19 CALAC
澳洲华人抗击新冠疫情联盟，“Chinese Australian League Against COVID-19”，简称 CALAC，由20多位澳洲华人企业家、科学家以及社会团体、民间社群负责人自发组成的紧急救助联盟。其目的是团结协助更多的在澳华人、华人社团为澳洲一线医务工作者和弱势群体捐助，提供急需医用物资，加强医疗和民众防护保障，共同抗击疫情。
我们的工作
CALAC会对接澳洲政府和医疗机构需求方，明确物资需求；邀请专业医疗进出口专家，把控品质和资质、手续；所有资金来源和去向公开透明，由第三方法律、财务顾问，保证捐赠物资和捐赠流程的合规合法；避免好心办坏事，为华人理性、高效的捐赠，做强有力的支持，规避各种事后风险。
首批募资计划
CALAC经过严格筛选核实，采购具有中国出口资质并获得澳洲TGA认证的医用口罩、防护服、免洗杀菌洗手液等急需医用物资，通过墨尔本市政府、维州卫生民政事务局、WEHI医学研究所的协调，捐赠给主要医院和医疗机构抗击COVID-19一线的医疗医护人员和其他急需社群。
我们的担当
更重要的是，CALAC要把华人的声音和力量汇聚起来并传递出去，通过英文媒体的报道和传播，让澳洲社会了解在澳华人是有奉献精神、有责任心、有价值、有担当的一个团结社群，感受到我们正与澳洲同舟共济，消除偏见和误解，营造相互尊重、更为平等的政治文化环境。
我们的愿景
星星之火，必将燎原。CALAC的诞生，不是因为某一个人、某一个企业，她是我们每个澳洲华人在这场战役中的共同签名。良好的多元文化氛围，是我们来澳洲的原因，也是我们为自己、为后代不懈努力、参与构筑的梦想。
"Chinese Australian League Against COVID-19” (CALAC) has been formed by more than 20 Australian Chinese entrepreneurs, scientists，social groups and non-government organisations. Its purpose is to unite Chinese people and communities in Australia to source and provide urgently needed medical supplies for medical professionals and vulnerable groups to combat COVID-19 in Australia.
Our approach
CALAC will identify the needs of Australian governments and medical institutions; invite professional trade experts to oversee the quality and procedures around importing medical supplies; ensure that all sources and destinations are open and transparent; guarantee that donated materials and donation processes are legally compliant through third-party legal and financial consultants; and provide strong support for donations from Chinese Australians while mitigating any potential risks.
Inaugural fundraising
CALAC's inaugural fundraising activity has been to source much needed medical supplies. Through strict selection we aregoing to procure medical masks, protective gowns、hand sanitizers and other urgently needed medical supplies that meet Chinese export requirements and Australian import standards and then coordinate with Melbourne City Council, the Victorian Department of Health and Human Servcies and the federal Department of Home Affairs, and the WEHI Medical Institute. These supplies will be donated to frontline healthcare providers and other communities in major medical institutions to combat COVID-19. It is our Chinese community joining forces to help defeat COVID-19.
Our responsibilities
CALAC brings together the voices and strengths of Chinese Australians. Through mainstream media reports and promotion, enabling all corners of Australian society to understand the dedication, love and social responsibility of Chinese Australians, to see that we are working together to avoid prejudice, misunderstanding, and to create a multicultural environment of mutual respect and equality.
Our vision
The birth of CALAC is not from a single individual or enterprise. It is the common signature of each of our Chinese Australians who chooses to live in this land. We came to Australia because of its unique multicultural milieu and a dream we all share, and it is also our dream to continue to contribute and participate while building for ourselves, for Australia and for future generations.
