Children's Mental Health Treatment

My name is Pete Rich, the Director of the Wright School. Our school provides Mental Health treatment services for children 6 to 12 years old. Typically, we are a residential treatment facility, but the current labor shortage is making us make some tough decisions. The best choice is to make one of our groups a day treatment-only program. This, however, will drastically increase the transportation costs for the families affected. We want to provide those families with gas cards so that they can keep their kids in treatment. Unfortunately, regulations affecting my program's budget will not allow us to purchase and distribute gas cards, so I am asking for help.

We can support all the families in need for only $500 a week. This reduction in services will only be for nine weeks, during which time we can hire and train new staff and then resume residential services.

Any amount will be helpful. If we can get twenty-five folks to donate 20 dollars a week for the nine weeks for a total of 180 dollars, we could provide these families with the support they need.

Any money raised that does not go to these families' transportation costs will be used to support other families with financial hurdles preventing them from accessing treatment.

We need to talk with families about this change in the next week, and I would love to be able to tell them that the extra transportation costs are covered. Please donate today.
