Deanna Dawn Christ of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 26, 2020, at the age of 72.

THE CHILDREN’S EDUCATION FUND AT CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH
Deanna Christ believed that when children are instilled with a strong foundation in Christian principles
and values, they will grow to be productive, happy, and caring adults. To that end, Christ the King.
Lutheran Church is starting an endowment in Deanna’s name to develop a program to educate children
through both in-house and remote Bible study. A room at Christ the King Lutheran Church, which
Deanna, designed and built, will be dedicated in her name. The “Deanna Christ Children’s Learning
Center” will be the nucleus of the program.
Your contribution to the Endowment will be administered by the pastor and overseen by the Christ
family. Your donations will be used to fund video equipment, develop Bible-based curriculum, purchase
craft supplies for religious-based in-house projects, organize musical events, finance field trips, and other
related activities. The program may be used as a template for programs in other Lutheran churches. The
Children’s Education Fund is part of the creative process needed to continue spreading God’s Word when the pandemic and economic
uncertainty challenge traditional teaching and learning methods. Deanna always found a way to excel where others were satisfied with the status quo. Your gift will ensure her legacy lives on in the successful lives of our children.
