Children School Bags

Hi Guys,
In 2010 I did work experience at Koondoola Primary School as a teachers assistant. I was 15 at the time and was from a privileged family and private high school. I saw how different these kids lives were to my upbringing and how some kids at lunchtime didn't have food to eat. Most of the kids that go to this school are from immigrant families and I don't believe they have a lot. Raising money for these kids would mean providing some of the kids with school supplies and a nice school bag that they can take pride in - something that their parents may not be able to afford themselves.
This project means a lot to me because my parents were able to give my sister and I a lot of opportunities as a kid and it breaks my heart that some kids simply do not because of money. Previously I have fundraised privately (through my Facebook via family and friends) and was able to create and give 10 shoeboxes for women who are in domestic violence situations. All money raised for this Go Fund me will go towards this project and not a cent will be leftover. I have set the bar high because if all goes to plan, each school bag will cost around $58 and my aim is to be able to gift 30 young kids them. I have gone online and figured out all the costs associated and with a 'cool' Smiggle bag, it does end up being quite pricey. This is because I believe we could easily buy cheaper things from Kmart or Big W, but when we were kids, and didn't have a lot, having something special makes us feel special and worthy. I don't think thats too far a stretch to put a smile on a kids face! (Obviously this depends on if there is enough money donated, if not, we can easily go to Kmart and get the $10-$15 ones because hey- still a new school bag!) Any help I'm sure will help the families who are in need.
Ideally, I would love to have this all done before kids go to school next year, so maybe after Christmas I will stop fundraising and make the most out of post Christmas Sales. Then that will give me enough time to get everything and pack them by the new school year.
I will also be creating an event where people can join me to pack the school bags and potentially create some art to put in there as well. We did this in 2018 with the shoeboxes and had some yummy food and sparkling wine (this was not from donation money but money out of my pocket btw.) I'd love to hold another event like this to bring people together if anyone is interested please let me know...
