Child injured by stray bullet
Donation protected
On Sunday, October 8, a child was injured by a stray bullet while visiting Apples on the Avenue orchard near Nashua, Iowa. While it is still under investigation, it is believed the bullet came from a shooting range at the nearby Nashua Fish and Game Club. The child was taken by ambulance to the Waverly hospital and later taken to a hospital in Iowa City. The child is expected to be hospitalized for approximately two weeks.
We are raising money to help cover the family's living expenses while the child is hospitalized, because they are unable to work during this time. We'd like to raise the funds as soon as possible, to help relieve any financial stress during this difficult time.
The family has asked we not reveal their identity to respect their privacy.
