It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Hernan "Chico" Borja after a long battle with cancer for 4 years. Chico touched the lives of so many and will be so deeply missed. The Ecuador native surely lived up to his nickname, ‘The American Dream.’
For those who were fortunate enough to know Chico, it was well known that his infectious smile could bring peace and love to any space he entered. Whether on or off the soccer pitch, he always made everyone feel as if they were family.
Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking moment. Any support given will be used towards a MEMORIAL ceremony that we are in the process of arranging at an MLS soccer stadium here in FL.
