Help Chick A Dee Acres Farm Open

Hear from Tim and Tammy Bogeman, founders of Chick A Dee Acres Farm, on their mission to bring supportive services to children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities living in Vilas, Oneida and Forest Counties of Northern Wisconsin.

As parents of a young adult with physical and developmental disabilities, our biggest worry has been helping our son Tom live a purposeful life and gain the skills necessary to become more independent.

As we looked for places to for him to spend time, learn new skills and have fun, we realized our options are terribly limited. When looking into the future, it seemed so uncertain. Our desire is for Tom and others to be successful and enjoy life, enriched with opportunities that would support him now and in the future. That's how we came to start Chick A Dee Acres Farm, Inc.

Chick A Dee Acres Farm is a farming community that provides life skills for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Chick A Dee Acres Farm will offer daily, multi-faceted programs that include life skills, daily living skills and recreation.  Our clients will have the opportunity to grow and process organic fruits and vegetables, and provide care for farm animals. Plans also include additional opportunities in woodworking, maple syrup processing and creating hand-crafted products for resale. The farm will market and sell the organic fruits and vegetables through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and local farmers market.

As we navigate developing our program, our stages of growth have challenging and incredibly rewarding. We have purchased a facility that we have been remodeling with the hopes of opening our new facility in 2018.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.  We are fundraising to complete the renovation of our building. Your support will go directly to building materials, and all funds will be used for the completion of our facility.
