Chia Commentary @ CEO Dreamland

Hi everyone! My name is Chia, a member of the Smash Bros community for over 13 years. Many of you may know me as a competitor dating all the way back to Melee, or most likely known for my work with CLASH Tournaments in broadcasting many noteworthy events and sponsoring players.

I have recently been working my hardest to breakout as a commentator with recent events like Super Smash Con 2019 and Frostbite 2020. The feedback I received from Frostbite was so overwhelmingly positive that I wanted to take this momentum and get into as many events as possible. Before I could even finish my reel, I applied to some events on a whim, one of them being CEO Dreamland - an upcoming A (or higher?) tier event for Smash Ultimate, a very noteworthy Brawl event, and the first stop on the Smash World Tour circuit. I didn't expect to make the event, but much to my surprise last night, I was accepted! The problem is that I was accepted one week before the event takes place in Florida, and I live in Pennsylvania.

I want to do my best to get there to work for all of you, and help bring more representation and visibility to women and trans people in esports. Looking into immediate flights and accommodations, it's tough, but doable. After spending the money I would make from commentary to make it there, I'm still coming up a little short - which is the purpose of this GoFundMe.

I hadn't originally planned to be able to make this event, but I see the opportunity and want to go for it. I usually would properly plan to front the entire cost to get there on my own like Frostbite, but with only a week to go and surviving off of contract work, I don't have the money to readily drop on this. Any assistance is greatly appreciated ☺
