Archie's New Hip

Archie is a sweet and intelligent rescue dog turned medical alert service animal that is almost four years old.  I rescued Archie from an animal shelter in San Antonio when he was just ten weeks old. When I adopted him he had already had a rough start (He had mange, parvo, and worms), but he's a fighter and he made it through! Since that day, he has changed my life and given me the happiest memories. o I noticed he had a funny gait. I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. He has been on supplements to help him move more comfortably, but the only thing that will relieve his pain is total hip replacement surgery. Archie is currently monitored for his hip dysplasia and takes daily medication and injections to help keep him moving. His daily activity as my service animal helps to maintain his muscles around his joint, but it is not a permanent fix. His surgery will be costly, but seeing him finally walk pain free is completely worth it. He is my family and he means the world to me. Giving him a new hip will mean he can finally live the care free life a dog as wonderful and loving as he is deserves. Any and all donations will go toward surgery costs, including pre-operative and post-operative care (medicines, appointments, etc).
