Chez Nous in Confinement: All for a safe home

Chez Nous (At Home) is a monumental installation by artist Carmen Mariscal built from the recovered padlocks and grids from the Parisian bridge : Pont de l'Archevêché. It is installed at the Place du Palais Royal, in Paris, Spring 2020.
« Chez Nous is designed as a “prison house” and announces the symbolic materialization of domestic traps. The artist raises the following questions: Is love a link or a chain? Is the house, a refuge or a prison?”
Chez Nous is an art project that addresses social responsibility and encourages dialogue about protecting and empowering vulnerable groups, mainly women and children victims of violence in their homes.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with families in lockdown worldwide, violence and abuse have risen by at least 30% in most countries, that counting cases that we know about and numbers continue to increase.
We need your help urgently to:
Support our partner not-for-profit organizations: Association Aurore (France) and Espacio Mujeres (Mexico), which provide a safe shelter for women and children, victims of violence in their homes.
During these times, they need more resources than ever before to help more women and children that are vulnerable. With your donations you will be contributing to provide a safe shelter, psychological and legal help for the increasing numbers of women and children victims of violence in their homes during the confinement period and after.
Any donation from 25€ and over, you will receive a tote bag from the Chez Nous Project as a token of appreciation for your generosity.
