Chester Marathon 2024 - Teenage cancer trust

Hi, my name is Tony and I am raising money for the teenage cancer trust. The picture above was me with my mum in 2019. I had just completed the Liverpool 1/2 Marathon and I was raising money for Breast cancer awareness as my mum was in remission with Breast cancer . I intended to do the Liverpool full Marathon in 2020, but we all know what happened next for that year! Anyway I applied for the Chester full marathon this year. After a summer of training I have been struggling with a knee injury and decided not to set-up a Go Fund me page. I thought I was going to pull out through injury. Anyway yesterday despite the knee injury I completed it. It was nice to have the same photo with my mum on the finishing line as she made a full recovery. I have seen many kids over the years suffer with cancer. It’s unbearable to see how it affects them and their family. Let’s hope any money raised can go a long way to help the sufferers and their loved ones through a difficult period. Every little penny helps! Thank you so much. Tony
