Cheryl Lynch Emergency Surgery Fund

Donation protected
I’m Miriam Lynch, mother of Cheryl L. Lynch of Lynch Archer P. R.  My daughter needs your help.  Cheryl is gravely ill from a ruptured colon, subsequent emergency surgery and septic shock infection.  Cheryl is in intensive care at a local hospital.

On Wednesday, September 23rd, Cheryl was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home.  She  underwent drastic exploratory emergency surgery to repair a ruptured colon.   She is enduring excruciating  pain.

Cheryl will need your help in order to pay for the massive doctor, hospital and recovery expenses.  Additionally, she will need further surgery in three to six months to hopefully reattach her colon.  She needs to continue physical therapy for her knee as well. Cheryl also needs  help in order to keep her home and family intact.

On this Wednesday morning Cheryl, suffering  torturous, wrenching pain,  called 911.  Upon arrival the EMTs took her vital signs, and despite the fact that they could see that she was in agony from pain, refused to take her to a hospital.  They told her son, Tristen, to take her to urgent care.  Her husband, Robert, after being notified by their daughter, Tabitha, had rushed home where he found Cheryl in agony, barely coherent, “Help me, I’m dying”.  He rushed her to urgent care. The doctor there immediately called an ambulance…saying Cheryl needed emergency surgery in order to save her life.

This past June an orthopedic surgeon replaced Cheryl’s entire left knee. The surgery and subsequent high doses of painkillers left her unable to move her bowels.  She complained about both these painful issues to her physician.  In August Cheryl underwent an additional procedure to remove the scar tissue on the knee, which the doctor claimed was slowing down her recovery to the knee.  It did not offer much additional improvement.  The bowel problem continued.

This has been a devastating year for our Cheryl.  This January  Cheryl  contracted double pneumonia and pleurisy; she was gravely ill; hospitalized for 18 days.  Cheryl  was very weak when she came home.  Despite this she continued to work as much as possible.

Cheryl has, for many years, participated in arranging Fund Raisers for many other persons and charitable organizations including School Fundraisers, Pediatric Cancer Research Tennis Events, Magic Johnson golf events for the American Heart Association, The Africa Medical Missions and numerous others.

Cheryl has been a trooper, extremely brave during these crises.  We will keep you updated as to her prognosis.  From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for any help you can give to Cheryl.  We continue to pray for her full recovery.
