School of Rock Flood Recovery

Cherry Hill School of Rock suffered an extreme loss when two frozen sprinklers, and main water pipe burst and flooded our facility from above. First, the drop ceilings flooded, then collapsed onto all of our equipment and furniture. Extreme measures had to be taken to prevent mold: every wall surface had to be cut and replaced. The building was drained and heat-dried for days and new sheet rock and flooring applied.
The damage affected a significant ammount of equipment, furniture, and infrastructure. We have lost many students, staff-members and time. We expect a loss in the first four months of opening. We will not be able to fully recover the loss in equipment and structural damages either. Our fundraising campaign goal is $17,2000 to help us return to our full capacity, as a first-class Music and Performance School.
We are on an extremely tight time-budget to keep meeting the school's obligation of quality music education and group performances/rehearsals to our loyal customers. The Philadelphia School of Rock has graciously let us use their facility the past few Sundays, but we are unable to hold our weekly private lessons, which are usually available five days a week. We need to get back into our own building as soon as possible and commit to improving the equipment situation along the way.
We are also holding a musical equipment drive to help make quick improvements to our severely depleted inventory.
